A Bromance?
A Bromance. Male bonding. Call it what you want, but it's a healthy part of life, for many guys. Sadly, many never get to experience it anymore. To be honest, I am a bit envious when I watch reruns of the television series, Route 66. In spite of my genuine love for and dedication to my friends, when I was younger I never got to experience a friendship like the one shared between the main characters, Tod Stiles (Martin Milner) and Buz Murdock (George Maharis). Yes, I realize the series is ficitional. Still, I am all too aware of guys who have enjoyed such friendships, and some of them still do, in spite of having wives and kids. I urge every guy to delve into this series and learn from it, for crying out loud. There's action, humor, a bit of romance with the ladies, a whole lot of beautiful scenery, and, of course, there's that cool Corvette. Guys need guy-time. Wives and children are the most important relationships in men's lives, but guys need buddies, too. Route 66 includes a number of memorable performances by actors and entertainers such as Ethel Waters, Robert Redford and Robert Duvall, of whom the latter two were not famous at the time. Duvall played the role of a heroin addict in an especially moving episode. Perhaps the series can motivate some guys to seek out buddies or to rekindle old friendships. If you still have a DVD player or your computer accommodates discs, get this series on DVD. It's worth every penny for the lessons on friendship, as well as the gorgeous backdrop of our great country, the compelling storytelling and thought-provoking scenarios. Get a cheap DVD player here.

Mobile Phone Case
We all need a phone case to protect our mobiles, and what guy doesn't love the look of leather? I have maimed at least three phones in my lifetime, and I was determined to avoid repeating the mistake. For my last mobile, I purchased this Aioria case. It is faux leather, made of polyurethane (no surprise there, for the price), but it has provided protection, proving to be both durable and reliable. So far, my Samsung Galaxy phone is still intact.
